I don't update this blog as often as I should (I update my Instagram and Flickr regularly if you follow me there), but I thought I would share some of my favorite shots I took this year from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In the past couple years I feel that I have taken a large step forward as a photographer and editor, and I'm excited what the future will bring. I am feeling confident in my work and I'm going to push forward with my aspirations to work on some accredited assignments and jobs in the future as a professional sports photographer.
A couple days ago I found myself at the local classic car meetup in Greenwood. Many people were in town for the Vintage Invitational race at the IMS this week.
I've spent a considerable amount of time at the IMS this year between invitational events and IRL races like the Grand Prix of Indianapolis. Photographing motor racing is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do. I'd going to try some more videography projects at the next events, but I'm lacking proper audio equipment to create anything too ambitious.
I'm looking forward to the Red Bull Moto GP race in August and might try to attend some smaller events in between. I'm hoping that either next year or in 2016 I can make it to the US Grand Prix in Austin; it's been an aspiration of mine for years to photograph a Formula 1 race.
I had a chance to visit the Chicago Auto Show this year and I thoroughly enjoyed the venue and car exhibits. If you would like to see some of the photos I took, here is a link to my Flickr gallery from the show:
I have the website in working order! Hope you enjoy browsing through the images and if you would like to contact me for a session or just have questions click on the contact tab!
I will also be linking my Facebook page to the site shortly which I will update with more example work.
Not much of a blog post, but the website is up. Sort of.
